Change your dashboard time zone

Choose Browser local, UTC, or a fixed region so monitor, incident, and log timestamps appear in the time zone you expect.

Your dashboard time zone controls how dates and times are displayed across your account. Changing it does not change when checks run or alter the original monitoring data.

Change the time zone

  1. Open Account from the customer dashboard.
  2. Select the Account tab.
  3. Find Timezone.
  4. Choose Browser local, UTC, or a region and city such as America/Edmonton.

The setting saves automatically. A confirmation appears when the change is complete.

Choose the right option

  • Browser local follows the time zone reported by the device you are currently using. Times can therefore appear differently when you sign in from another location or device.
  • UTC provides one standardized reference and does not change for daylight saving time.
  • A fixed region and city keeps the account on that named time zone across devices. Regional time zones apply daylight saving changes according to their local rules.

The dropdown shows the current GMT offset beside each option. An offset can change when daylight saving time begins or ends, so choose the region rather than relying only on the displayed offset.

Where the setting is used

The selected time zone is used for customer-facing timestamps in areas such as:

  • the monitor dashboard and monitor details;
  • incident details and activity;
  • detailed check logs;
  • reports and account views that display monitoring dates.

Monitoring events continue to be recorded using standardized timestamps. The dashboard converts those timestamps for display, which means changing the setting does not move an incident, change its duration, or recalculate availability.

If times do not change immediately

Wait for the Timezone saved confirmation, then refresh any dashboard tab that was already open. If one page still shows a different zone, sign out and sign back in before contacting support.
