Each Slack connection has its own event and monitor filters. This lets one channel receive broad operational updates while another receives only incidents for a specific website.
Open connection settings
- Open Integrations.
- Find the connected workspace and channel.
- Select Configure.
- Enter a clear connection name, such as
Operations incidents.
The saved name appears only in your Uptime Basics account. The workspace and channel names come from Slack.
Choose event types
Select at least one event:
- Incident opened: A confirmed availability incident begins.
- Incident resolved: A confirmed availability incident recovers.
- Monitor status changes: A monitor changes between customer-visible states.
- Slow response detected: A successful check crosses the configured performance threshold and confirmation count.
- Response time recovered: Performance returns below the configured recovery threshold.
- SSL certificate expiring: Optional certificate monitoring enters a selected warning state.
- Domain registration expiring: Optional domain monitoring enters a selected warning state.
Performance and expiry events are sent only when the corresponding monitor feature is enabled and its normal alert conditions are met. Selecting an event does not turn that monitor feature on.
Choose monitors
Use All monitors to include current and future monitors automatically.
Use Selected monitors when the channel should receive events only from specific monitors. Select at least one monitor before saving. Paused monitors may remain selected, but they do not produce new availability checks until reactivated.
If a selected monitor is later deleted, it no longer produces events for the connection.
Save and verify
Select Save settings, then use Send test. A test confirms that the Slack destination can receive messages; it does not open an incident or change monitor status.
Changes affect new events. They do not resend past events automatically.
