Slack connection controls affect message delivery only. They do not pause website monitors, close incidents, or change email and SMS alert settings.
Pause or enable delivery
Select Pause when you want to keep the connection and its filters without sending new Slack messages. Confirm the custom prompt to stop delivery.
Select Enable to resume a paused or corrected suspended connection. New matching events can be delivered after enablement; events that occurred while paused are not sent automatically.
Reconnect Slack
Use Reconnect when the card shows Reconnect required. This state can appear when Slack revokes or replaces the saved destination.
- Select Reconnect.
- Choose the intended Slack workspace and channel.
- Approve the incoming-webhook permission.
- Return to Integrations.
- Confirm the same connection is active and select Send test.
Reconnecting updates the existing connection rather than consuming another connection allowance. Its Uptime Basics name, event selections, and monitor selections remain attached to the connection.
Disconnect permanently
Select Disconnect when the channel should no longer be linked. The confirmation explains that Uptime Basics will permanently remove the saved Slack credential and stop future delivery.
Disconnecting does not delete monitors or incidents. Historical delivery records remain only for their normal bounded retention period. Connecting Slack again later creates a new connection and requires authorization.
