Dashboard tour

Learn where to find monitor health, reliability metrics, incidents, monitor details, status pages, and account settings.

The customer dashboard is the starting point for reviewing current website health. It combines an account-wide summary with direct access to each monitor, active incident, public status page, and account setting.

Top navigation

The navigation bar provides three main destinations:

  • Monitors returns to the monitoring overview.
  • Status Pages lists public status pages that are currently enabled.
  • Settings opens links to Account and Sign Out.

Open Account to manage contact information, dashboard time zone, alert destinations, password and two-factor authentication, and billing.

Monitor health summary

The first dashboard panel summarizes the current account state:

  • Start monitoring your first site appears when the account has no current monitors.
  • All monitored sites are healthy means no active monitor is currently Down.
  • Monitors need attention means at least one active monitor is Down.
  • Paused monitors are identified separately and are not described as healthy.

Select New Monitor to add a website. The button remains unavailable while account limits are loading and when the plan's monitor allowance has been reached.

Account overview

The first metric group describes current monitor states:

Metric Meaning
Monitors Current non-archived monitors, including paused monitors
Up Active monitors whose latest confirmed status is Up
Down Active monitors whose latest confirmed status is Down
Paused Monitors for which scheduled checks are intentionally stopped

The reliability group summarizes recent results:

Metric Meaning
Availability Successful scheduled checks across current monitors during the last 7 days
Incidents Confirmed availability incidents that began during the last 7 days
Last incident Time since the most recent confirmed availability incident, even when it is older than 7 days

An active monitor can temporarily be Unknown, so Monitors can be greater than Up + Down + Paused. Availability displays - when there are no applicable checks.

See Understand dashboard metrics for the calculation details.

Active Incidents

The Active Incidents section appears only while one or more active monitors are Down. Select the affected monitor to review incident history, diagnostics, alert activity, and nearby checks.

The section stays hidden when there is no current outage, so a brief isolated failed check does not create an empty incident panel.

Monitor list

Each monitor card shows:

  • the monitor name and URL;
  • its current Up, Down, Unknown, or Paused status;
  • the monitor type, currently HTTP;
  • how long the current Up state has lasted, when available; and
  • the configured check interval.

Select anywhere on a monitor card to open Monitor Details. That page contains charts, incidents, alerts, monitoring settings, optional expiry and performance checks, status-page controls, and a link to Detailed Logs.

The dashboard displays 10 monitors per page by default. Use Show to display 10, 25, or 50, and use the page controls to move through larger accounts.

Select Archived to review monitors intentionally removed from active service without deleting their configuration. An archived monitor can be reactivated when the plan has capacity.

Status Pages

Select Status Pages in the top navigation to list enabled customer status pages. Each card shows its monitor, monitored URL, and current website status.

From a status-page card you can:

  • open the public page;
  • view its monitor;
  • edit the page; or
  • disable it.

Disabled status pages do not appear in this list. Open the monitor and its Public Status Page settings to set one up or re-enable it.

Notices and automatic protection

Important platform notices can appear above the health panel. Their color indicates the notice type or severity.

A separate warning appears when automatic service protection adjusts a monitor because of repeated timeouts, a prolonged incident, or unusual account activity. These protections can temporarily change check timing, limit repeated diagnostics or alerts, or pause a timeout-heavy monitor. They do not change the recorded result of a completed check.

When dashboard data updates

While the dashboard is visible and online, it requests fresh information approximately every 60 seconds. Existing monitor cards are updated in place when their data changes.

A private cached snapshot may appear briefly while the newest data is loading. After creating, pausing, or deleting a monitor, the related page also updates the dashboard cache so the change can appear without waiting for the next scheduled refresh.

If information remains delayed, see A monitor update is delayed on the dashboard.
