Sign in, sign out, or reset your password

Sign in to Uptime Basics, safely sign out, recover a forgotten password, and resolve common account-access problems.

Uptime Basics uses a dedicated managed sign-in page at auth.uptimebasics.com. Customer sign-in begins from the Uptime Basics website and returns you to the authenticated dashboard after successful verification.

  1. Open uptimebasics.com.
  2. Select Sign in.
  3. Enter the email address used to create the account.
  4. Enter your password.
  5. If two-factor authentication is enabled, enter the current six-digit code from your authenticator app.
  6. Complete sign-in and wait to be returned to the dashboard.

You can use the Sign in button from the Home, Services, Contact, guide, or public service-status pages. The secure flow uses the same approved callback and returns to the customer app.

Sign out

  1. Open the Settings menu in the authenticated app header.
  2. Select Sign out.
  3. Wait for the managed logout flow to return you to Uptime Basics.

Signing out clears the active Uptime Basics browser session. On a shared device, close the browser after signing out and do not allow the browser to save the password.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. Select Sign in from Uptime Basics.
  2. On the managed sign-in page, select Forgot password.
  3. Enter the account email address.
  4. Request the recovery code.
  5. Check the verified recovery email for the code.
  6. Enter the code and create a new password that satisfies the displayed requirements.
  7. Return to sign-in and use the new password.

Account recovery normally uses the verified account email. A verified phone number may be used only when the identity service offers it as an available recovery method.

Change a password while signed in

Use Account > Security > Change password when you know the current password. This is different from Forgot password, which is intended for account recovery from the managed sign-in page.

Troubleshooting

Sign in returns to the homepage

Start again with the Sign in button and avoid opening multiple sign-in windows. If the problem continues, clear only the Uptime Basics site data, close duplicate tabs, and try again.

The email or password is rejected

Check spelling, capitalization, and whether the browser filled credentials for a different account. Use Forgot password if you are unsure of the current password.

The recovery email does not arrive

Check spam and filtering rules, then wait a few minutes before requesting another code. Make sure you entered the login email rather than a separate alert destination.

The authenticator code is rejected

Use the newest code shown by the authenticator app and confirm the device clock is set automatically. If you have lost access to the configured authenticator, contact support from the account email address.

Access is suspended or disabled

A password reset does not override billing pauses, account suspension, or a scheduled account deletion. Contact support if the credentials work but account access remains restricted.

Account safety

Uptime Basics support will never ask for your password, password-reset code, email or SMS verification code, authenticator code, or authenticator setup secret. Do not send these values in a support message.
