Each plan has a total monitor limit. Plus and Pro also include a smaller number of one-minute slots within that total. A one-minute slot is not an additional monitor; it lets one of the plan's monitors use the one-minute interval.

For example, a Plus account can have up to 25 monitors in total. Up to five of those 25 may use one-minute checks; the remaining monitors use an included interval of five minutes or longer.
New monitors default to five minutes even when the plan includes one-minute slots. Choose one minute only for endpoints where that faster detection is useful.
Check your available capacity
Open New Monitor to see the current plan counters near Check timing:
- Total monitors shows how many monitor slots remain.
- 1-minute monitors shows how many one-minute slots remain when the plan includes them.
Uptime Basics loads authoritative account usage before enabling monitor creation. If the total limit has been reached, the dashboard's New Monitor controls and the creation form remain unavailable until capacity is released or the plan changes.

Pausing stops future checks but reserves the monitor configuration on the active dashboard. It therefore does not release total or one-minute capacity.
Release a one-minute slot
Open the one-minute monitor, select Monitor Settings, change its interval to five minutes or longer, and select Save changes. The released one-minute slot can then be assigned to another monitor.
You can also permanently delete a monitor you no longer need. During a scheduled downgrade, monitors selected for Archive stop using active capacity when the plan change takes effect.
Timeouts and one-minute checks
One-minute monitors support timeouts up to 8 seconds. Monitors using five-minute or longer intervals support timeouts up to 10 seconds. The shorter cap keeps one-minute checks from overlapping excessively while still allowing a reasonable connection window.
If you change an existing monitor to one minute, the update is accepted only when the plan includes one-minute monitoring and an unused slot is available.
If the limit message appears unexpectedly
Check for paused monitors, because they still count. Then open Archived monitors to distinguish archived configurations from active capacity. If the dashboard has just changed, allow the current request to finish or reload once so the latest authoritative usage can be shown.
