Display options control the supporting information shown below the status-page summary. They do not change monitoring, alerting, private retention, or the monitor's calculated results.
Change the visible sections
- Open the monitor.
- Open Public Status Page and select Set up Page or Manage settings.
- Select the Display tab.
- Turn each public section on or off.
- Select Save display options.
- Open the public URL and confirm that the page contains the intended information.
Uptime timeline
The uptime timeline shows up to 24 recent check results as an easy-to-scan sequence of Up and Down blocks. Each block includes its check time when a visitor points to it.
The blocks represent checks, not fixed hours. A 1-minute monitor and a 1-hour monitor therefore cover different amounts of elapsed time.
This section is on by default.
Response time
The response-time section compares up to 10 recent checks that contain response-time measurements. It helps visitors see whether recent successful responses were relatively fast or slow.
This section is on by default. It is a recent sample, not a long-term performance report or service-level guarantee.
Recent history
Recent history shows up to 20 recent check rows with time, Up or Down result, HTTP response, response time, and a customer-safe diagnosis category when available.
This section is off by default because it exposes more technical detail than many public audiences need.
Incidents
The incidents section shows up to 10 recent incidents with start, recovery, duration, and open or resolved state.
This section is off by default. Enable it when customers benefit from seeing recent disruptions directly on the public page.
Information that remains visible
Display options do not hide the core page summary. Visitors can still see the current availability state, last check time, latest HTTP and response information when available, and seven-day uptime percentage.
If the monitor is paused, the page shows Paused rather than presenting the last successful result as current availability.
Recommended combinations
- Simple public confirmation: Timeline and response time only.
- Technical service audience: Timeline, response time, and recent history.
- Customer incident transparency: Timeline, response time, and incidents.
- Maximum public detail: All four sections.
Publish only information that helps the intended audience. Detailed Logs, full diagnostics, alert history, and private monitor settings are never exposed by these controls.
