Enable a status page when it is ready for visitors. Disable it when public access should stop temporarily. Disabling preserves the page configuration so it can be restored later.
Enable a page
- Open the monitor.
- Open Public Status Page in Monitor Tools.
- Select Set up Page or Manage settings.
- Review the Overview and Display settings.
- Select Enable status page and confirm.
The public snapshot is created from the latest monitor data. The page may need a short time to appear through the public cache.
Active pages are also listed under Status Pages in the customer navigation. From that list you can open the public page, view its monitor, edit its settings, or disable it.
Disable a page
You can disable a page in either place:
- Under Status Pages, open the three-dot menu and select Disable.
- On Monitor Details, open Public Status Page and select Disable.
- In the status-page editor, select Disable status page.
After confirmation:
- The shared public URL stops loading the page.
- The current public snapshot is removed.
- An enabled custom domain is turned off and its managed resources begin retirement.
- The page settings and slug remain associated with the monitor.
- Private monitoring, incidents, alerts, and retained check data continue normally.
A disabled page no longer appears in the active Status Pages list.
Re-enable a page
Open the monitor's Public Status Page section, select Set up Page, review the saved settings, and enable it again. The shared slug remains reserved while the page is disabled, so the same public URL can normally be restored.
If a custom domain was retired, it may require another activation and DNS validation process.
Pausing a monitor is different
Pausing the monitor does not disable its status page. An enabled page remains public and displays Paused so visitors are not shown an outdated Up status.
Disable the page separately if it should not be public while monitoring is paused.
Permanently remove a page
There is currently no separate destructive action that deletes only the saved status-page configuration. Use Disable when you only want to remove public access.
Deleting the monitor disables its status page and reserves its shared slug during the 30-day monitor recovery period. Permanent cleanup begins after that period or after Delete permanently is confirmed; cleanup removes the page record and releases the slug. Do not delete a monitor only to hide its status page.
