Cancel your subscription

Schedule subscription cancellation for the end of the billing period and learn how to keep the subscription active before that date.

Canceling a subscription schedules it to end at the close of the current billing period. Your account, monitors, and alerts remain active until the end date shown in the confirmation.

Schedule cancellation

  1. Open Account > Billing.
  2. Select Cancel subscription.
  3. Review the displayed end date.
  4. Select Cancel at period end.

After Stripe accepts the request, Uptime Basics displays a Subscription cancellation scheduled notice and changes the renewal card to Ends on. The subscription will not renew after that date unless you cancel the scheduled cancellation.

Canceling a subscription is different from deleting the account. Your account and monitoring configuration are not permanently erased by subscription cancellation.

Keep the subscription active

You can reverse the scheduled cancellation before the end date:

  1. Open Account > Billing.
  2. In Subscription cancellation scheduled, select Don't cancel subscription.
  3. Confirm Keep subscription active.

The cancellation is removed in Stripe and the Billing tab displays the next renewal date. If the subscription has already ended, this button is no longer a way to reverse the completed cancellation; contact Support if the Billing page does not provide a new subscription option.

Pending plan changes

Scheduling subscription cancellation cancels any pending downgrade. A downgrade requires a future paid renewal, while subscription cancellation ends paid service at that boundary.

If you only want a smaller plan, schedule a downgrade instead of canceling the subscription.

Canceling during a trial

When a trial subscription is canceled, access remains available until the trial end date shown on the Billing tab. It will not convert to a paid monthly renewal at that boundary.
