The Billing overview summarizes the plan and subscription state confirmed by Stripe. It contains three cards: Plan, Subscription, and either Renews on or Ends on.
Billing overview fields
- Plan: The Starter, Plus, or Pro limits currently active on the account.
- Subscription: The current subscription lifecycle state.
- Renews on: The end of the current Stripe billing period when an active subscription is expected to renew.
- Ends on: The date service is scheduled to end when cancellation is pending.
Dates use your selected dashboard timezone for display. Subscription prices and invoice totals are billed in USD.
Common subscription states
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Trialing | The 30-day trial is active and the displayed date is the trial boundary |
| Active | The paid subscription is active and expected to renew |
| Past due | Stripe has not successfully collected the latest required payment |
| Canceling | Cancellation is scheduled, but service remains active until Ends on |
| Canceled | The paid subscription has ended |
| Paused | Paid monitoring is not currently running for the subscription |
| None or Not set | No confirmed Stripe subscription state is connected yet |
The Payment needs attention banner provides the actionable deadline when a payment fails. Do not rely only on the subscription label when that banner is visible.
Scheduled plan changes
A scheduled downgrade does not immediately change the Plan card. The current plan remains active until the effective date in Scheduled account change. At that billing boundary, Stripe applies the lower plan and Uptime Basics applies the saved monitor actions.
Why a recent change may take a moment
Stripe is the authoritative source for subscription and invoice events. After Checkout, a payment, or a portal change, Uptime Basics waits for Stripe confirmation and refreshes the billing snapshot. A short delay does not mean a second transaction is required.
Reload the Billing tab once if the Stripe portal already shows the change but the overview has not updated. Do not repeat a payment or plan-change action merely because the card has not refreshed yet.
